Build Your Own Triathlon Coach with AI

I’ve been messing around with AI a lot lately. It takes up a lot of time. I seem to be pretty hooked, and I’m not the only one, but sometimes I come across something that’s fun and actually worth the time.
STAS
So this week, I came across STAS (Smart Training Assistant). It’s a ChatGPT plugin that can suggest workouts based on existing training data. While it’s usually a lot of hassle to set everything up, this time it was pretty simple.
interval.icu
The first step is to connect interval.icu to your Garmin or to another app you use to log your workout data. The next step is to install the STAS plugin in ChatGPT. After that, you can grant the STAS plugin permission to read the data from your intervals.
And voilà! You now have a super-easy text-based coach that uses your existing data to make great suggestions for structured workouts. When you save these, the workouts are immediately synced to Garmin, after which you can easily start them from your Garmin watch. Perfect for creating last-minute workout plans.
Give it a try.
